New Store at ETSY . . .

Things have been a little quiet at my Madeit store lately so have decided to branch out and see how an ETSY store will go.

The market last night was great - lots of gorgeous handmade goodies and a great crowd over the 2 and a half hours that it ran for. I had a great response with lots of new and returning customers and a few custom requests for skirts and dresses which is fantastic! Also a lot of comments from people wanting to wait til summer to buy the skirts and dresses and hoping that I will still be around selling them - the answer - yes I will!

I love to sew and create and can let you in on a little secret - stay tuned for some more gorgeous little dresses and skirts in some new designs and styles in the months to come!

Next Market - Magenta Makers Market Saturday 6th June

The next market is fast approaching with the Magenta Makers Market this Saturday at the Australian Inland Botanical Gardens. The weather forcast is not looking good with more rain expected over the weekend, but luckily the crafters are inside in the old woolshed out of the rain - although rug up as we don't have heating in there!

So some new goodies for this Saturday's market include;

Winter Cord Skirts -

same style as the 'Tilda' skirts, but made in lovely soft cord with a contrast trim - available in sizes 2-4 and 3-5. Super easy pull on, and a generous length to last for more than one winter.

More funky market bags -

these are selling really well, and I have now added a simple internal pocket.
More Beanies -
to keep those little heads warm in some funky new designs

Coin Purses -

super cute little coin purses for your small change, great to take along to the market!

Good morning! I have a big art & craft fair coming up this weekend and have been very busy sewing, knitting and crafting in readiness for that which is being run by the Red Cliffs Nexus Club at the Red Cliffs Civic Centre.

Here is a sneak peak at a few new items I have for this weekends fair;

Hair Clip Gift Sets

- cute vintage book inspired gift tags with a pony, pin and yoyo button clip set

Baby Beanies
- cute little beanies for little heads

Nappy Wallets

- this is a design I have been working on for some weeks and am finally happy with what I have come up with.

These wallets are designed to fit easily into your handbag or bottom of the pram, and can hold nappies, wipes, waste bags and even a spare wondersuit for those quick trips to the shops. Hardwearing denim outer, fully lined with quality quilters cotton and full interfaced to maintain shape.

Folds neatly together and holds closed with a magnetic button. Available in three different coloured denims; blue, chocolate and wheat.

These will be available from my madeit shop Sunday night!

New fabrics

- a recent purchase of some new fabrics destined for more 'tilda' dresses for this weekends market and my madeit shop Sunday night.
